Each knot is individually tied by hand onto the warp threads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Knots Used:<\/b> Primarily Persian Knot (Senneh) for finer detail and Turkish Knot (Ghiordes) for symmetry and strength.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Quality Indicator:<\/b> Knots Per Square Inch (KPSI). Higher KPSI indicates a finer, more detailed, and more valuable carpet. Finesses can range from around 12 KPSI upwards, with higher quality rugs having much more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Hand-Tufted Carpets:<\/b> Made by punching strands of yarn into a canvas backing using a hand-operated tufting gun. Faster to produce than hand-knotted, they are also a hand-made product.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Flatweave Carpets (Durries):<\/b> Woven like fabric by interlacing warp and weft threads, with no pile.
